Getting There

  • Fly into Biarritz Airport (BIQ) or Bordeaux (BOD)
  • Train to Bayonne or Dax, then short drive to Hossegor
  • Stay near Plage Centrale or La Nord for best access

Best Time to Visit

  • Autumn (Sept–Nov) for peak swell and perfect sandbanks
  • Summer is fun for intermediates but less punchy
  • Spring can deliver but is more hit-or-miss
